"Closer to God" will be this years theme. All Scouts show this by being faithful in their Duty To God. We would like to invite you and your Packs, Troops and Crews along with your parents and leaders to join us for the 13th Annual All Faith Celebration. The event will be held at the Big Beaver United Methodist Church, 3753 John R Road, Troy, Michigan. Recognition will be given to all Cub and Boy Scouts who received a Religious Emblem during the year 2011. A special edition patch will be available to commemorate your participation. The Annual All Faith Service is sponsored by the Religious Activities Committee of the Great Lakes Council. The service is ecumenical (all faiths). The next service will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2012 with the service at 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 2:30 PM with the service concluding by 4:30 PM. |

JEWISH COMMITTEE on SCOUTING
The Detroit Area Council of the National Jewish Committee on Scouting (NJCOS) will be sponsoring a number of outstanding events for Jewish Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers and Sea Scouts. Plans are for casual "get-togethers" of Jewish Scouts as well as "workshops" to assist Scouts in obtaining the NJCOS Jewish Religious Awards, the Macabbee, Aleph, Ner Tamid, Eretz Chaim Emblems. The Detroit Area Council will also assist in coordinating Scout Shabbat participation. Jewish Scouts in the
